Radiasi UV - Marina UV White Extra SPF 15

3:19 PM

Ini pertama kalinya yak, saya ngeblog pake bahasa Indonesia ^0^
Selamat menikmati~

Sebelum nulis, saya warming-up dulu dengan makan permen jelly...
Nyem... nyem...
Oke.

(WHO, 2009)

  • Lihat UV index. Kayaknya kurang ngetop di Indonesia, jadi skip aja.
  • Cari tempat teduh.

(rekomendasi WHO dan FDA)

Gimana sih cara kerja sunscreen?

Apa rekomendasi produk sunscreen?

Produk rekomendasi yang saya perkenalkan adalah...
Marina UV White Extra SPF 15

Apalagi sunscreen wajib dipakai lagi setiap 2 jam.
Jadi, berbanggalah, temen-temen :)

Akhir kata, ingat ya, temen-temen,
Lebih baik mencegah daripada mengobati.
Maka, mulailah pakai sunscreen dari sekarang.

Review: Olay Natural White Light All in One Fairness Day Cream

5:00 PM

Hello, lovelies!
Sorry, truly sorry for the absent.
I was in my remedial month. A full month of remedial tests.
After the tests, I must study really hard for the big exam in the college!
So I studied everyday and didn't let myself to touch my laptop.
So now, I have some spare time so I can write some! ^^
It's the first review post >w<
Yay yay yay! \( ^0^ )/

This is Olay Natural White Light All in One Fairness Day Cream.
Quite long name ('-' )
Say hello~! ^o^/
---Price---
Price is about IDR 13k, as it is written on the box.
But it's just the suggested retail price, so the price may be different.
By the way, it's the small size, just 20 gr.

This is a good enough face cream that you can use daily in a cheap price.
Now I'm in my second tube.
For me it last for... a few weeks until months I think? ( >0<)
I always use a little hint so I can last longer.
Anyway, if you want it last more longer, you can buy the bigger size.

---Ingredients---
Ingredients
Picture above is the list of ingredients. Here I discuss some important of them:
  • Glycerin: moisturizer agent, see the "hydrate" claim.
  • Niacinamide: the other name of vitamin B3. It works as antioxidant and reducing sun damage. It's believed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dark spots, and even the skin tone. See the other claims.
  • Dimethicone: a silicone, and moisturizer agent. It makes a barrier that traps water so the water will keep in there.
  • Ethylhexyl salicylate: organic sunscreen agent, works by absorbing UVB rays.
  • Isopropyl palmitate: an emollient or moisturizer agent, but it can clog your pores. Also, it contains alcohol and oil, but it won't dry your skin.
  • Stearyl alcohol: an emollient or moisturizer agent. Yup for alcohol and oil, and again, won't dry your skin.
  • C13-14 isoparaffin: emmolient agent.
  • Cetyl alcohol: emollient or moisturizer agent.
  • Behenyl alcohol: it helps prevent moisture loss, makes non greasy feeling.
  • Panthenol: pro-vitamin B5, some said it's the other derivates of vitamin B5. It improves hydration, reduce itching and infalmmation of the skin, also improve healing of epidermal wounds.
  • Dimethiconol: a silicone, creates a subtle gloss that feels smooth and silky, and can form a barrier on the skin.
  • Ethylparaben: yup, it's paraben guys~ But I think it's in low and safe dose. It is used for treat dry skin. It can be found in some essential oils.
  • Fragrance: Yup, fragrance.
  • Tocopheryl acetate: vitamin E. The great antioxidant, helps healing process, makes a barrier on the skin.
  • Octocrylene: sunscreen ingredient. It has ability to absorb UVB and short-wave UVA rays.
  • Phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid: sunscreen ingredient. It blocks UVB rays.
  • Cetearyl alcohol: moisturizer agent.
  • Cetearyl glucoside: moisturizer agent.
  • Methylparaben: another paraben~ some said it's an anti-fungal agent for the product.
  • PEG-100 stearate: moisturizer agent.
  • Propylparaben: another paraben~ some said it's an anti-fungal and anti-microbial agent for the product.
  • Menthol: a cooling agent. It's known as an irritant.
  • Tamarindus indica extract: tamarind.
  • Citrus grandis extract: grapefruit.
  • Crataegus cuneata fruit extract: Chinese hawthorn or Japanese hawthorn.
  • Pyrus malus fruit extract: apple.
  • Zizyphus jujuba fruit extract: jujube, jujuba, red date, Chinese date, Korean date, or Indian date.
  • Citrus aurantifolia juice: lime.
  • Citrus aurantium dulcis juice: orange.
  • Citrus medica limonum juice: lemon.

Okay, now is my turn.
The moisturizing power is... good enough for normal skin. It isn't designed for dry skin.

The whitening power is... good. I can tell that my face is less dull. No evidence, just my opinion. :D And my face got tanned because of the sunburn so I can tell the antioxidant and whitening effect did the work.

The isopropyl palmitate can clog your pores. So I don't recommend this cream for the oily skin and easy-to-get-acne skin. But for me, my skin just less to get acne since I used this. I think it safe for normal skin. So don't afraid of that clogging agent.

It contains fragrance. Do not recommend for sensitive skin. And I think the menthol can be bad for sensitive skin too, due to the irritant effect. However, I didn't feel either the irritant effect or the cooling effect.

The sunscreen. From the ingredients, I can tell it can blocks or absorbs UVA and UVB. Olay just didn't write the SPF level which I hate.

It contains paraben, girls!
Okay, you must have known about this issue. Paraben and breast cancer. But, the researcher can not claim that paraben products is the main culprit because they still don't get the process clearly. And as far as I know, the paraben is safe when it's used in low level.
It may be best for us to avoid the paraben, but almost all of the beauty products still contained paraben. I feel difficult to find some beauty products that aren't contain paraben.
I can't say much of this, I just inform you girls. It's your decision.

About the fruit extract, I believe that all of them contains vitamins which is good natural antioxidant for your skin. I just somehow couldn't find the specific effect.

---Packaging---
Front side
Back side
It comes with a classic plastic tube wrapped in a paper box.
The tube isn't bold so I can squeeze the cream easily.
The body is white and the cap is gray.
The cap can be opened in screw motion, easy enough to open.
Just don't forget where to put the cap :D sometimes I forgot it.

---Swatch---

Okay I didn't think the swatch would be important for this review.
I just want to show you the consistency.
It's light enough for me.
And noooo! my hand isn't whiter after use this cream.
It's just because of the light and angle so my hand appear whiter.

When my first using this cream, I feel sticky a little.
Sticky~~~ \(~0~)/
I thought, "Oh, okay, at least my face powder can adhere more..."
But now I don't feel that stickiness. I've become habituated. \(^0^)/
